Fiziksel açıklama	Hexagonal tile of fritware (also called stone paste), painted under the glaze in blue and turquoise on a white ground. The pattern combines hatÃ¢yÃ® and rÃ»mÃ® scrollwork, which are given equal visual weight. In the hatÃ¢yÃ® scrollwork, six composite, stencil-like blossoms of two alternating types are linked by curving stems. The stems continue beyond the blossoms and end in pairs of motifs â small leaves are associated with one type of blossom, and composite blossoms with the other. The rÃ»mÃ® pattern radiates from a central rosette composed of palmette scrollwork on a reduced scale. From it run six cusped tendrils, which bear large stylized leaf shapes (split palmettes), which are themselves composed of palmette scrollwork. From the tips of the large split-palmettes further tendrils connect them to palmette scrollwork motifs (segments of the central rosette) that fill the corners of the tile. There is no border, and the pattern is designed to continue without interruption on adjacent tiles in the revetment. In other respects, the pattern is close to that found on V&A: C.14-1953 and 513-1900, where it is contained within a border.
