Fiziksel açıklama
Tile, fritware, of eight-point star shape, the border painted in cobalt blue with Naskh inscription with lustre enclosing a design of a seated hare on a foliate scrolled reserve dotted ground.
Üretim
The tile bears sign of having been cut down, probably before being set on a wall. Tiles such as this one used to be commissioned in bulk and later set with cross tiles to create a larger design (see for example a tile panel attributable to Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Tahir, including object no.1837-1876); but occasionally the measurements didnât fit to the millimetre and the borders of the tiles were cut to fit the requested area and make the pieces fit.
