| Notes | This clasp was used to fasten clothing, or link two other pieces of jewellery together. It was described as a frontlet, from the Lebanon region of Syria, when it was acquired by the Museum in 1873. The long pendants, the quatrefoil chains and the flat discs and comma-shaped pendants are all typical of the traditional jewellery of Syria. |
