Fiziksel açıklama Slit tapestry carpet WARP: white and dark brown wool; Z2S; 6 threads per inch (23 per dm). WEFT: wool; S-spun, undyed, mixture of single threads and 2 parallel threads used together; 6 colours: yellow, light yellow, green, dark blue, blue, white; average of 26 threads per inch (100 per dm)., but varies. SIDE FINISH: returned wefts END FINISH: incomplete DESIGN: Field: dark blue ground with 4 or 3 and 2 half blossom-bearing stems in shades of yellow across the width; these are repeated down the length; there are 8 complete and 2 partial bands. Main border: white ground with small green anthropomorphic figures in off-set rows. Inner border: green zigzag line separating yellow and light yellow. Outer border: green zigzag line separating yellow and white. Both ends have narrow bands of dark blue, white and yellow. NB: Woven like others of this type with interrupted vertical slits; these do not run the entire length of the carpet and have been stitched together. They are visible on the photograph.
