Border of tapestry woven wool twill. This is probably the border from a cover or shawl. There is a stripe, 2.5 cm wide, with a white ground bearing a single delicate dark blue meander with a series of different leaf forms also in blue, and numerous buds, flowers and blossoms, all densely packed. The predominant colours of which are light blue, red and pink. This stripe is edged either side by a narrow composite band [edged in white and black] of a white ground containing small light blue lozenges with a red mark top and bottom. Warp: white wool. Weft: pink, black, dark pink, dark blue, light blue and yellow wool, all indeterminable twist and green, white and red wool, all S-twist.
