Plate of fritware, with fluted cavetto and flanged rim, painted in cobalt blue under a clear glaze. The central medallion depicts a figure sitting by balustrades, behind him a landscape with hills and huts, surrounded by a bracketed frame of diapers. Round the flange are four flowerheads with leafy scrolls alternate with four foliate motifs. Imitation Chinese "tassel" mark in blue.
