A panel cut from a linen cloth and sewn, with a rough whip stitich, onto another linen piece. Egyptian, ca. AD300-500. The panel is tapestry-woven in coloured wools (dark and light purple, white, green, yellow and pink) and undyed linen thread. The motif is of a hare with berries. The linen backing is undyed, coarse and discoloured; 16x 14 tpc (sys. 1 x sys. 2); with varying thread diameters.
