Fiziksel açıklama Woollen pile carpet. WARP: light brown wool; Z2S; 26-30 threads per inch (120 per dm); depressed. WEFT: red wool; Z-spun, unplied; 2 shoots occasionally 3 after each row of knots; 12 knots per inch (50 per dm). PILE: wool. 10 colours: red, yellow, green, dark blue, blue, light blue, dark brown, brown, black, white; asymmetrical knot open to the left and tied around 2 threads; 156-180 knots per sq. inch (3000 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: 1 cord oversewn with red and yellow wool, and dark brown along right hand side. END FINISH: Lower: missing but evidence of warp loops (at the corners) with 6 cms warp faced plain weave with thick white wool weft (multiple thread per shoot) and then one row of weft twining in red/yellow wool. Upper: one row of weft twining in red/yellow and then an incomplete fringe secured with a single knot. DESIGN: field with a dark blue ground almost completely filled with a large red lozenge. The border between the two is formed by reciprocal hooks outlined in white and green. The lozenge contains a pointed blue medallion and two dark brown and white pendants. There is a white lozenge with a dark blue medallion in the centre of the carpet. The blue medallion is filled with stylised flowers; the red lozenge and the blue ground contain large stylised botehs, each containing a carnation. There are 5 borders, from the centre: (1) yellow ground with pairs of red or white botehs. (2) yellow ground with a closely-packed red meander and white carnation heads. (3) white ground with stylised meander, segmented. The stems are yellow outlined in dark brown, the blossoms are red between pairs of leaves or blue and they alternate in direction. (4) as (2) (5) as (1) Lower and Upper bands: 3 chequered bands in red/yellow, blue/white and red/yellow.
