Bowl of fritware painted in colours, with inglaze pigment and overglaze enamels. Tall cylindrical foot-ring and spreading slightly convex sides. Inside, painted in dull blue, pale turquoise, pink and red, is a row of five seated figures with pairs of human-headed birds above and below, flanking stylised arabesque tree-motives. Imitation Cufic inscriptions in the border over panels of blue, red and turquoise. Blue dentil edge. Outside is a Naskhi inscription round the bowl in black, and blue glaze under the foot.
