This was described as having been made at Teheran by an Armenian goldsmith, when it was acquired by the Museum in 1884. The Armenians were renowned throughout western Asia for the quality of their filigree work.

Small gold filigree crucifix hanging from a short length of decorative chain. The cross has trefoil-shaped ends decorated with applied discs. A cast figure of Christ is attached on one side, with stippled decoration, and a figure of a saint on the other, with arms folded across his chest. The chain has two long twisted links, interspersed with smaller rings.
