Fiziksel açıklama
Woven woollen braid, twill binding. One edge has an undecorated stripe of dark green; the other edge seems to have a pattern of blocks but this is incidental and simply caused by returned wefts. The pattern in between seems to have a white ground but is packed with strongly horizontal bands of colour. The dominant motif is a diagonal blossom in dark pink with a bull's eye centre in yellow, red and white. Warp: dark brown wool, S-twist and purple wool, indeterminable twist Weft: white, red, yellow, green, black, blue wool, all S-twist and dark pink and pink wool, indeterminable twist.
Üretim
The inclusion of a strongly-coloured purple thread suggests a date after 1860.
