Notes
A fragment of woven wool. Some slit tapestry.Egyptian, ca. AD400-600. The wool is yellow and losely woven (approx. 11x11tpc). The central motif (in some brown and two shades of purple) is much like a modern day ink-blot/Rorschach test, where the image shows near perfect bilateral symmetry. This motif resembles a moth. The piece has some dirt like substance attached to one corner.
