Warp: cream wool; Z2S; 17 threads per inch (64 per dm). Weft: white cotton; Z3S; 2 shoots after each row of knots; 8 knots per inch (30 per dm). Pile: wool; 12 colours: red, light red, dark yellow, yellow, dark green, green, dark blue, blue, purple, brown, black (faded), white; symmetrical knot tied around 2 threads; 68 knots per sq. inch (960 per sq. dm). Side finish: cut. End finish: cut. Design: Field: dark blue ground; medallions enclosed by a yellow band with dark blue centre. Medallions enclose stylised flowers and flowerheads and ground contains scattered birds, stars, and other geometric motifs.
