Fragment of plain woven linen cloth, possibly the sleeve of a tunic, with three tapestry woven bands of foliated decoration, in purple wool and undyed linen. Towards the left end of the ground fabric is a false braid formed of two rows of soumak weave. Ground weave: Linen warp (S-spun, 32/cm) Linen weft (S-spun, 20/cm) Tapestry weave: Linen warp (S-spun) Wool weft (Z-spun) Linen weft (S-spun) 12/13 ribs per cm
