Malzemeler ve teknikler carpet Wool Carpeting Weaving
Fiziksel açıklama WARP: light brown wool; Z2S; 8 threads per inch (32 per dm) WEFT: shades of white and brown wool; predominantly z-spun, unplied; 2 shoots after each row of knots, 7 knots per inch (30 per dm). PILE: wool; 8 colours: red, orange (may all be reweaving), yellow, green, blue, dark brown, light brown, white; symmetrical knots tied around 2 threads; 28 knots per sq. inch (480 per dm.) SIDE FINISH: 2 cords overcast in irregular blocks of pink and yellow and red and orange wool. END FINISH: missing. DESIGN: Field: red ground with one row of bold octagonal medallions outlined alternately in a white and yellow zigzag which extends into 3 stepped triangles on the four sides. The lower and 3rd medallion have a red ground, the 2nd is blue and the upper (repaired) may have been brown. Within each medallion is a vertical central bar beginning and ending in a stepped triangle. From a similar side triangle extends a horizontal bar ending in a pair of horns. There are 4 similar pairs of horns on the vertical bar. This design including corner triangles ia alternately blue or red. Each medallion area is squared by an outside hooked triangle forming 4 corners. Between each of the medallions and corners is a single band of diamonds. Similar triangles appear along the sides of the lower and 3rd medallions. Border: Narrow border contains small eight-pointed stars, variously coloured in pairs, on yellow buff ground. At either end is an additional border with angular labels. Outermost border: brown, red, brown lines Lower: incomplete Upper bands: lappet border with a red ground and with 6 niches framing a pair of coloured rectangles. The angular niches are outlined in brown.
