Weft: white cotton, Z-spun, unplied, 2 parallel threads per shoot; light brown wool and cream wool, both Z2S; 3 shoots after each row of knots a) wool b) cotton c) wool; 11 knots per inch (44 per dm). Pile: wool; 8 colours: dark red, red, orange, light yellow, green, light green, dark blue, blue; asymmetrical knot open to the left and tied around 2 threads; 154 knots per sq. inch (2464 per sq. dm). Side finish: left: one cord oversewn with dark red wool; right: cut. End finish: cut. Cotton Wool Knotted Pile
Fiziksel açıklama
Carpet fragment, design shows narrow outer border: light yellow ground with floral meander of five-petalled orange rosettes, dark red carnations and dark blue heart-shaped flower on green meander with small leaves. Towards the upper end, dark red in outlines and inner guard stripe knots become red.
