Fiziksel açıklama
Jar painted in three blues. A knotted scroll with five flowers runs arount the neck under a broken everted rim. Three of the six shoulder panels are similar to 1842-1876. The other three are filled with a reserve-painted crane amidst flowers and clouds. Six lesser lotus panels with ribbons and lozenge act as dividers. A hatted figure sitting across two hollow rocks with one bare leg and a bottle in one hand looks towards a bearded figure in turban sitting by a table with a vase. Beyond him a balustrade with lotus finial leads to a haloed figure with a hat who is waving an arm at a fringed servant by his side. Rocks, trees, clouds and leafy bows round off the confused composition. A band of linked lappets marks the base of this crazed and worn jar.
