Dress fabric, silk satin. Displayed behind glass. Warp: dark blue, blue, red, yellow, green, purple and white silk. Weft: blue, yellow, black, pink silk. Selvedge: single cotton cord S-spun. Striped 8 shaft satin. The patterned stripes are separated by three narrow stripes: [1] red ground with dark trefoil sprig alternating with 3 blue edged flowers on a leafy stem; [2] blue ground with what seems to be a cartouche with a flower alternating with a pair of black motifs outlined in yellow; [3] mauve ground with pattern from [1]; [4] yellow ground with pattern from [1]; [5] red ground with what looks like an upward pointing bunch of grapes and the trefoil sprig; [6] blue ground with pattern from [5]; [7] as [3]; [8] pale ground with pattern from [5]; [9] red ground with pattern from [2]; [10] green ground with pattern from [5]; [11] mauve ground with pattern from [1]; [12] yellow ground with pattern from [2].
