Pile: wool; 11 colours - red, dark red, pink, yellow, dark green, light green, blue, dark blue, very dark blue, dark brown, white, yellow; symmetrical knot tied around 2 warp threads. Side finish: 1 cord oversewn with dark brown wool. End finish: upper - missing but evidence of plainweave with dark red wool. Design: Field: red ground of single large meander of very dark and dark blue with white - looks like a border pattern on a large scale. Main border: very dark blue ground with pink angular meander with pink flowers and white leaves. Inner and outer borders: yellow ground with blue meander and red flowers.
