Qalyan (water pipe), fritware, pf flattened baluster shape with two fluted openings on the top and shoulder, underglaze painted in blue with black outline, in imitation of Chinese decoration, depicting waterplants. It has a four-facetted shape with a moulded lozenge top painted with four panels of swastikas with dividers surrounded by a lobed band. The top-bracketed medallion on both sides contains a bold lotus spray with different shapes of leaves and flowers. Four scrolling quartered flowers set between two bands of reserve-0painted scrolls decorate the narrow sides, one of them with a small moulded spout.
