Fiziksel açıklama
Plain weave cotton embroidered with silk in straight stitches and pulled thread work; whitework; backed with plain weave cotton and faced with silk satin. There is a border in which diagonal bands of openwork alternate with diagonal bands of embroidered triangles in straight stitch - most of the silk has decayed or worn. Mid-way along side these bands meet to form a triangle. The central rectangular panel is largely undecorated: there is a small triangular unit of openwork in each corner and a triangle mid-way along each side. These triangles include a band of embroidery. All are edged with embroidered triangles. In the centre is a square within a square with a pointed half cartouche extending from each corner and a triangle from the top and bottom. There is a narrow band of pulled thread work running the length of the central panel. Cotton thread: Z-spun Embroidery Thread: white silk; floss [untwisted] Backing: undecorated purple cotton. Facing: bias-cut; red satin.
