Fiziksel açıklama Fragment of plain woven undyed linen, decorated with a square tapestry-woven panel in brown-coloured wool and undyed linen. The tapestry panel, woven separately, is inserted into the ground weave. There is a selvedge and seam on the right side of the ground fabric. The tapestry panel has geometric decoration, with a square in the centre containing a diamound surrounded by four small rosettes, and four large roundels, one in each corner of the panel. Between each roundel is a smaller panel with similar decoration as the central square, of a diamound surrounded by four small roundels containing rosettes. Ground fabric: Linen warp (S-spun, 18-25/cm) Linen weft (S-spun, 20/cm) Tapestry-woven panel: Linen warp (S-spun, 34/cm) Wool weft (Z-spun, 45/cm) 17 ribs per cm
Üretim The piece seems to be from the same object as T.65-1978, both having the same pattern.
