Two fragments of compound woven silk. Probably Egyptian, ca. AD700-1000. The piece is edged with cream geometric shapes on a dark blue background; strips run down either side and contain red, blue and cream circular shapes. The body of the piece is of lcream floral designs on a red background. There are holes in the larger piece.
