Notes
Portion of the neck border and shoulder band from a linen tunic. Egyptian, ca. AD300-500. Tapestry woven in purple wool and undyed linen. They are filled with warrior in combat (Greeks and Amazons?) on horseback and on foot. The figures are surrounded by a reverse arcade border and then a solid line. The shoulder-bands were short, semi circular at the ends with pendent stems, although one is missing. There are some holes in the piece.
