Rectangular fragment of plain woven undyed linen, decorated with two thin clavi tapestry woven in brown wool and undyed linen. To one side of these are two bands of unequal width, where the warp is left open without any wefts. One edge has a 'rolled' hem. Plain weave: Linen warp (S-spun, 18/cm) Linen weft (S-spun, 13/cm) Tapestry weave: Linen warp (S-spun) Wool weft (Z-spun) Condition: The right corner is in some areas repeaired with a new linen thread. There are large stiches to repair the fabric.
