Plain weave cotton embroidered with silk in straight stitches, needleweaving and pulled thread work; whitework; with an added silk fringe. A long rectangle of cotton with a narrow embroidered border down the long sides, a wider embroidered band and an added black silk fringe across the narrow ends. The pattern embroidered in the narrow border down the sides and above and below the end panels could be read as 'Ali'. It is edged with narrow bands of needleweaving. The end panels contain a row of inward-pointing stylized floral sprigs: a V-shaped pair of leaves in pulled thread, each ending with a triangular flower and with triangular leaves and a triangular flower along the vertical stem. This motif alternates with a line of 2 diamond shapes. Along the lower edge is a line of stylized floral sprigs alternating with a diamond shape.
