Malzemeler ve teknikler
Brocaded silk with silks and metal thread
Fiziksel açıklama
Dress fabric of brocaded silk with silks and metal thread. Plain weave silk brocaded with metal thread and with impressed lines. Dark blue weft-faced ground brocaded with green, red, white and purple silk and metal thread [silver strip open s-wound on an orange silk core]. A floral spray of three flowers, buds and leaves leans to the left in one row and to the right in the other row. There is only one complete motif in this fragment. There are crease marks on three sides which suggest this fragments was once used as a gusset or insert in a garment. The colours are light green, white, red and mauve. There are four parallel impressed lines forming a lozenge around each motif.
