Notes
Several fragments of compound woven silk. Egyptian, ca. AD900-1200. Two-toned in blue-green and tan. The pattern is of a short cross repeated across the fabric, one cross forming the edges of the next cross, above, below and beside it. On one fragment is a large icon or character, possibly Arabic. Similar in colour scheme and weave to 210-1904.
