Tapestry woven in wool and linen

Hexagonal panel tapestry woven in purple wool and white linen. The panel consists of a central square which has a geometric design formed in outline by fine white linen, and two triangular panels, one at each end, in which is a trefoil formed in outline by white linen. One leaf of the three is missing on one side. Warp of S spun white linen and the threads are grouped in threes in the tapestry woven areas. The weft is of S spun white linen and S spun purple wool.
