Plain weave unbleached cotton, hand-woven, embroidered with silk in satin and other straight stitches, pulled thread work, whitework. The central field has a large square with chamfered points, of pulled thread work, outlined in small reciprocal lozenge forms. The four corners of the central panel each have a triangle of similar patterning. The central section of each side has a section, irregular in shape, of pulled thread work linking it with the central square. Around each of the sides a band of pulled thread work or satin lozenges against a pulled thread ground, edged with 2 narrow bands of pulled thread work as a zigzag. The cotton thread is Z-spun. The white silk is 2S. There are two selvedges.
