Malzemeler ve teknikler
Hand woven cotton, double-sided embroidery in silk
Fiziksel açıklama
Towel of hand woven cotton with a pattern of warp stripes near each selvage. At each end there is a border worked in double-sided embroidery in pink, blue, green and light brown silks. The pattern consists of repeating geometric shapes probably derived from stylised flower and tree patterns. At each end there is a narrow finishing border of woven hemstitching. At the four corners of the embroidered strips is a small fringe of twisted embroidery silks.
