Tapestry woven wool. Egyptian; Oxyrhynchus, ca. AD300-600. The piece is probably torn from a tunic. It is the end of a border and has a fish within two borders. The inner border is of scrolling waves and the outer border is a solid line (approx. 4mm wide). The fish is olive green, the borders are purple and the background is white. S-spun. The piece is dirty.
