Fiziksel açıklama Carpet, slit tapestry WARP: shades of dark brown wool; Z2S; 5 threads per inch (20 per dm). WEFT: wool; S-spun, unplied; mixture of single threads and 2 parallel threads used together; 6 colours: yellow, light yellow, green, light green, blue, white; average of 22 threads per inch (90 per dm). SIDE FINISH: returned wefts END FINISH: incomplete DESIGN: Field: dark blue ground with three and 2 half blossom-bearing sprigs in shades of yellow and light green across width. These are repeated along the length; there are 10 and a half bands. Main Border: white ground with possible anthropomorphic figures in yellow in off-set rows. Inner border: blue zigzag line separating yellow and light yellow Outer border: yellow zigzag separating green and white. NB: Woven like others of this type with interrupted vertical slits; these do not run the entire length of the carpet and have been stitched together. They are visible on the photograph.
