| Notes | Linen cloth with a band of tapestry-ornamentation in coloured wools and linen thread running across each end. This ornament consists of a basket of fruit or flowers in the middle and a leaf-shaped panel containing a plant form on either side. Enclosing these devices are rows of pointed forms (petals?) in red. The ground of the cloth is relieved by double vertical and horizontal stripes at wide intervals in blue and bleached linen thread. The cloth has been cutat the ends, but is nearly complete. |
