Translation He is the one God. By order of Sarkar [his Excellency] Navab Ashraf Heshmat ul-dowleh for whom we lay down our souls. 1279 [1863]. Note He was Hamzeh Mirza, Heshmat ul-dowleh, 21st son of Abbas Mirza. He was governor of Yazd in 1279AH and died in 1299AH.

Woven silk and metal thread twill brocaded with metal thread. Displayed behind glass. Warp: Z-twisted pink silk Weft: gilt strip S-wound on orange silk core. Brocading weft: silver strip S-wound on dark blue silk core. 1/5 twill. Pink and gold ground with a lobed lozenge containing an inscription and date in silver thread, which has worn to reveal the blue core.
