Woven silk brocade, with vertical and horizontal point repeat with 4 minimum pattern areas. Satin foundation structure: 4/1 satin, warp count: 67.5, silk, ivory, no twist. weft: cotton; light ivory. Satin & velvet warp order 2-1. Velvet structure, red and blue, very faded. Pile counts: warps 16, along weft 14. Binding weft threads: silk; light ivory, skinny. Brocade structure: part brocaded, 4/1 twill, count 12. Shots between pile 2; metal & twist: silver (?), Z tightness of wrap: loose. Brocaded in borders and in centre only. Selvedge dimensions 2 cm. 4 bundles of satin warps with spaces in between exposing cotton wefts. Silk (Textile) Cotton Weaving
