Fiziksel açıklama
Plain weave cotton embroidered with silk in straight stitches. Directional design with the top of the pattern at the bottom of the panel, so that the wearer saw the correct pattern. The Museum Number is in the top left hand corner. There is a border along the top with a vertical arcade of arches with a red or white triangular flower pointing down from this. The spaces are filled with coloured triangles. The same pattern is repeated along the bottom where it is surrounded on 4 sides by a narrow black-edged border of flowerheads. The pattern is a series of black diagonal lines from lower right to upper left. There are two sizes of stripes: [1] narrow stripes: grey ground with a red and brown flower alternating with a spray of 3 white flowers. [2] wider stripe in two designs: [a] blue ground with a yellow and red vase, a central blue flower surrounded by 5 red flowers alternating with a pink vase, pink flower surrounded by 5 mauve flowers. [b] pink ground with a large bunch of red flowers and a large bunch of white flowers. Threads: Silk, 2S: dark red, red, dark blue, light blue, black, grey, mauve, white, yellow, brown, light brown.
