In the âList of Objects in the Art Division, South Kensington Museum acquired during the Year 1884â. London: Eyre and Spottiswoode, 1885. p. 87, the item was described as: "COFFEE OR SPICE MILL. Wood, coated with brass, inscribed with Persian verses, and bound at top with iron band, and a second band inlaid with pearl and wires in minute coils. From Cairo. Persian."
