Customers must have found these cups very hot when they were filled with boiling coffee or other beverages and potters experimented with solutions to this problem. This example is double walled so the exterior was cooler and easier to hold.

Fiziksel açıklama
Double cup of grey fritware, painted in greenish-blue and dark green on a white slip and covered with a clear glaze. Formed by two cups placed one inside the other. The outer one is painted with small discs in groups of three separated by vertical bands, the inner with a flower inside on the bottom and on the rim with a band of scrolls inside and of conventional ornament outside. Mark consists of four intersecting lines in manganese-purple.
