Malzemeler ve teknikler Silk brocade cushion cover. Satin foundation structure 4/1 satin, warp: ivory silk, weft: cotton, ivory, single strand. Satin & velvet warp order 3-1-2. Velvet structure: pile counts, warps 10, along weft 11. Binding weft threads: silk, skinny, light brown. Brocade structure whole 4.1 twill, count 22, shots between pile 2. Metal and twist silver or gilt? S. Tightness of wrap: medium. This has a non standard repeat - one and a bit - for both the total number of repeats of the thread model and the repeats of the motif. Gilt mostly picked out; brocade wefts coming unravelled. The green was once a grassy colour, but now almost disappeared from the front. The pile warps that make up the velvet seem to be made of different types of silk or distributed unevenly. This leads to some areas of denser pile and some of more bald looking fabric. Silk (Textile) Cotton Metal Weaving
Fiziksel açıklama Silk brocade cushion cover, with floral repeat pattern in red and green silk.
