Tapestry-woven cotton and wool
Fiziksel açıklama
Carpet with a white cotton warp and woollen wefts. Tapestry-woven with a brown central field, set on a pale celadon green ground. At the top of the carpet above the mihrab is a hooked device in white with two similar ones flanking it in red on either side. There are three main outer borders, and the innermost is white with intersecting crosses in blue, red, brown and celadon green, the next red has diamonds upon it, in the same colours each with a central cross in a contrasting colour, and the third is blue with diamond shapes broken by irregular panels of colour. Red outer border. The dog-tooth edge of the border of the central field is emphasised by oversewing.
