Fiziksel açıklama Carpet fragment (or small bag face) WARP: white wool; Z2S; 21 threads per inch (86 per dm). WEFT: light brown and red wool; Z spun, unplied; 2 parallel threads per shoot (one of brown and one of red); 2 shoots after each row of knots; 30 knots per inch (112 per dm). PILE: wool; 8 colours: dark red, red, yellow, green, blue, light blue, brown, white; asymmetrical knot open to the right and tied around 2 threads; 315 knots per sq. inch (4816 per sq. dm). SIDE FINISH: cut END FINISH: cut DESIGN: Field: four white panels, each containing a stylised plant form. Across the middle of each stem there is a stepped gul. Border: above, below and between these panels (except on the left) there is a red ground border divided into squares and each containing a coloured sprig. Lowere band: incomplete. Date catalogued> 29.6.94
Üretim The Anglo-Persian Carpet Co., S. Kensington. Purchased as one of seven pieces for a total of £3 "knotted pile wall bag; Ersari" (1925) This is one of "7 interesting little pieces of Turcoman carpet-knotting, good in design, colour and technique"…. And one of four "tent-bags unlike any others in the Museum… the price for the seven pieces… is nominal" Mentioned in "Turkoman Rugs in the V & A", by M. Franses and R. Pinner (intro. by Donald King).
