Notes Grape motifs/themes - symbolizing wealth - can be found in the late Ming period as decoration on porcelain bowls, which were also exported to the Ottoman court. Like many other shapes, it was copied and modified in Iznik ceramics, mostly by the usual “red tomato” method.
