Notes	The painting comes from the large pulpit that the Mamluk Sultan Al-Mansur Husam al-Din Lajin ordered to be installed in the Ibn Tulun Mosque in Cairo in 1296. The sides of this pulpit, which is about four meters high, are covered with panels of different shapes that together form a complex geometric model made up of several hundred pieces.
