Notes This is the final part of a 30-volume Moroccan Qur’an, written in brown ink using Moroccan script, and developed in North Africa in the fourth century AH/tenth century AD. The titles of the surahs are written in Kufic script, and the word God is prominent in gold in the text. Verses are marked with multi-lobed gold markers, while groups of verses are separated by teardrop circular motifs. It was copied by Ahmed bin Ali, and dedicated to Abu Muhammad al-Sayyid Abdullah al-Ghazwani, one of the Sufi sheikhs in Marrakesh.
