This blue bottle features a polished neck and a honeycomb-shaped body. The design is highlighted by a graduated shoulder and base. The exquisite overall design was achieved by grinding the slightly concave recesses using a specially designed cutting wheel. Vessels with this type of wheel-shaped decoration are a reflection of pre-Islamic traditions. |
