This medallion bears a portrait of the Shah and is the highest Persian decoration. It was presented only to loyal masters and sometimes to members of the ruling families. When the Shah visited us to attend the World Exhibition in 1873 AD, he presented it to the crowned Prince Rudolf, who was 15 years old.
