Notes	This noble, leather-bound Qur’anic manuscript with its illuminated first pages was written by the hand of the famous Ottoman calligrapher Hafez Othman. Each page consists of thirteen lines written in thin black Naskh script, and the titles of surahs, movements, and page frames are distinguished in gold. Hafez Othman completed 25 Qur’anic manuscripts, making the Sharjah manuscript one of a rare collection.
