Notes The Qur’an is often divided into parts, for example thirty parts, and each part is read every day in Ramadan, which is the month of fasting, or seven parts, one of which is read every day of the week. In this manuscript, the end of each part was originally marked with a gold-plated paragraph. Each page of the text is written in thuluth script using gold ink, outlined externally in black.
