Notes The text is written in the beautiful Andalusian script, and there are 25 lines on each page. The titles of the surahs are written in golden Kufi, except for the titles of Surahs 1 and 2, which are written in various kufi scripts in white, gilded panels. The copyist’s information contained on two pages (pages 121b–122a) written in golden naskh script says that the manuscript is the work of the writer, unknown until today, Yusuf Ibn Abdullah Ibn Abd al-Walid Ibn Yusuf Ibn Khaldun, and that it was copied for Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Rahman Ibn al-Bayatus al-Makhzoumi. It can be guessed from the name of his Christian grandfather, Piatus, that the owner of the copy was of Spanish origin.
